Some people look at me and think my life is so put together. They think I just have it all going on. ”She has her own business, co-owns a store, goes on fancy trips, has a great relationship and nice things”. Truth is, I am just an ordinary woman with my own set of issues.

I make a lot of mistakes. I am far from perfect. I get insecure at times. I am wrong about a lot of things. I do not know how to handle some issues. I care too much. I love hard. I’m scared to lose people I am close to. I cry a lot. I’ve been hurt. I over think. I am sensitive when it comes to things I am passionate about. The list can go on ;-)

I’m perfectly imperfect!

I have always tried to keep a perfect exterior because I thought it was what I needed to do. I always wanted it to seem like I was always “good”. I could be going through the worst time in my life and when asked how I am, I would respond “I’m doing great and you?” with a huge smile on my face. I never wanted people to know what was really going on.

One of my best friends has an “I don’t give a f*ck attitude” to a fault. I would always think, how can you feel that way about everything, you have to care about something. The past few days I have been thinking about my life, where I came from and where I am now. I thought of his attitude and it made sense. You should care to a degree but you can’t always worry about how others perceive you or your situation. Not everyone likes you or has your best interest at heart. You can’t always try to be perfect or be right. I have to admit my truth to help myself change to be a better person. I know I am human and I can be vulnerable and it doesn’t matter what goes on around me. I have to look at life and sometimes just say “I don’t give a f*ck”. I can’t magnify the small things because I won’t ever be able to live a happy and fulfilled life. Cant sweat the small stuff as they say!

All in all, I am just an ordinary woman trying to change for the better.

Flaws are normal, they make you real.
